Quick Check In

Limited internet access here, but a few things.

The weather is SO much better here in Los Angeles.

It's amazing to be here with about 250 of my peers! The sound of "Amen" at Mass is incredibly consoling.

I think I've now forgotten all my Latin!

Hmm --- does the LA Archdiocese now employ Latin jammers? :-D

This is me trying hard not to say "don't get corrupted the California Jesuits."

Okay, I didn't try all that hard.

Other things to remember:

(1) Don't let the weather fool you.
(2) If everything starts to shake, get in the door jamb. And then say an act of contrition, because that door jamb thing is just something the geologists make up so you can have the illusion of control.
(3) In 'N Out. Don't ask questions. Just go.

One more thing: are you going to the Taj Mahony?

It is always good to have a group of faithful people worshiping together. I remember a recent Time for God conference in London. It was 40 of us from all around the world worshiping together (I did a small, kind of cheezy sermon). It was good, koreans, swedes, slovakians, americans, all worshipping Jesus. I'm glad you are having a good time in LA.
Peace,
Chris

Karen, as is her wont, is 100000% right on all counts.

The weather may be better ovah theah, but I prefer air which can't be seen, thankyouverymuch. (Here in SoFla, we have air one can feel but that's neither here nor there.)

And, if it's any consolation, I had that Latin amnesia/phobia thing twice a year, every year, for four years.

I could have sworn I had a point...

I hope you like it here in California, Mark ... maybe you'll get a chance to visit nearby areas like La Jolla, Carmal, etc.
