This Year's Model
Here's one reason why blogging's been light lately. I spent most of the final days of 2005 with my brother Jesuits in the New Orleans Province who are also in formation. I am blessed to be part of this impressive group of men! Please continue to keep us in your prayers!

That's a good-sized group! I'll keep you guys in my prayers.
I am going to print out this one and replace it for the one in my prayer book so that I can pray for you guys this year as I did last year. You forgot to give us some idea where you are though. I think I can point you out this year.

What an inspiring group! Who is represented in this group? (Novices, Deacons, Young Priests?)
It truly is encouraging to the spirit of Ignatius carrying on alive and well -- and I love the grotto!

The group is novices, scholastics, deacons (only one at the moment), young brothers and young priests. The great thing is that a significant portion of these men are from the early stages of formation, which means vocations and retention have improved in recent years!
Great picture Mark! Maybe it will find it's way in a vocations magazine sometime? :)
Blessings to all the SJs in this New Year!
(Aside: my Vice-Principal in school back in Bombay, an Australian Jesuit with the unfortunate name of Fr. Dick used to say that SJ stood for "sab-jantaa", Hindi for "know-it-all." True, eh? :-D)
terrific
blessings on each of you as you journey closer to the heart of God an d as you step out into ministry
What an incredible photograph.
I wish I had a brit version to put up on my blog, alas, our Diocese had only a handful of men discerning a vocation to the priesthood and entering seminary last year.
Praying for you and for all here pictured!
God Bless.
Mark,
Thanks for posting this photo and catching so many "e-prayers" for all of us in formation.
We novices are leaving for our mission in McAllen tomorrow -- please keep us in your prayers.
