The Rest is Silence (At least for a week)

I had hoped to get up another Autobiography post before leaving for retreat today, but it's not going to happen. I got caught up with doing some work on my book, which is probably a good thing!

I will be incommunicado for the next week, as I will be making my 8-day silent retreat at Campion Center in Weston, MA. That means no blogging.

And just so you won't forget about me, I'll ask that you please remember in prayer, as I will all of you.

See you on the other side.

Peace,

Mark

I'm leaving the comment to let you know I'll be praying for you this week.

But also to test out the word verification. I might need to look into that for my blog.

Peace,
Susan

My prayers follow you into your silence. Better you than me this week. I am off to school this weekend. On second thought since I have to give a presentation in front of an entire class I guess I wish I were going on a silent retreat.

Is it significant that you're off for a retreat just when "your" reading comes up at Mass? My small faith community was looking at Sunday's readings last night and I was surprised to see Jeremiah's "you duped me, Lord." What was even more interesting was looking it up in other translations. The Jerusalem Bible says "You seduced me, Yahweh." That's rather wonderful.

May Yahweh continue seducing you throughout your retreat.

God bless You!

8 days of silence. I'm not sure I could be silent for 8 minutes.

this is my first time here and you're leaving...was it something I did, like click a link that led to your blog?

God Bless.

Prayers, Mark. May your retreat be fruitful. And yes, definitely thought about you as I proclaimed the readings at Mass this morning.
