Check This One Out
I recently happened across an interesting blog. She's an artist, mom, grandmother and a nun!
You'll see that the name of her blog also has a certain affinity to mine, though that might not be apparent right away (so have a look!) : Flavor of the Month

Ummm...for the dense ones among us, could you explain how the names relate?
Andrea,
I see the connection in her header which says:
There's a real dark side to being flavor of the month. (I've experienced it more than once.) Look at how God treats His "chosen people" in the Old Testament. One minute they're chosen, the next a rebellious and stiff-necked generation. You can't ever believe your own press. Good to keep in mind.
As Jeremiah is expressing with "You Duped Me Lord," God doesn't always give us what we expected, and sometimes we don't always get treated as we think we should when we follow him.
St. Teresa of Avila is purported to have once said something along the lines, "Lord, if this is how you treat your friends, no wonder you have so few!!"
It's an expression of the wonder--and the pain--that can come with following God (it also show why a sense of humor is so important!).
I see the connection anyway, but maybe I'm reading too much into it! :)
Mark
Mark, I saw the connection right away, but then I am one of the "so few" friends that St Teresa was talking to God about.
