Reflections On Being a Deacon

I haven't been doing much extra-curricular writing lately, but I did contribute a short piece to our province magazine recently. The photo with the article is from my trip to the March for Life Last year. Here's another with a couple of my companions on the trip (it was cold).

You can read the article here. It's on page 7.

Thanks Mark for a very informative article. The link between practice and reflection for your sermons was especially interesting. All the best as you prepare for priestly ordination.

I enjoyed your article. I'm not a deacon but I often help a Polish priest friend write his homilies.

I'm a New Orleans native, and I went to Spring Hill College (1965-69) back when almost all of the professors were Jesuits. Naturally I feel very close to the Society. Congratulations on your forthcoming ordination.

Your experience is starting to convince me that I should really do this deacon-thing!
